Women have always been at the forefront of change—leading movements, breaking barriers, and redefining history. But let’s not forget how recent some of these rights actually are in the U.S.:
☑️ 1910s–1940s: Companies enforced “marriage bars”, forcing women to quit their jobs when they got married.
☑️ 1963: Women were legally required to be paid equally to men—yet as of 2025, the gender pay gap still exists.
☑️ 1972: The ban on women running the Boston Marathon was lifted.
☑️ 1974: Women could apply for a credit card without a male co-signer.
☑️ 1975: The Supreme Court ruled that women could no longer be excluded from jury duty.
☑️ 1978: Women could still be fired for being pregnant until the Pregnancy Discrimination Act was passed.
☑️ 2013: Women were officially allowed to serve in military combat roles.
☑️ 2025: Women are still not paid equally, hold fewer than 30% of executive roles, & face increasing attacks on reproductive rights.
We stand on the shoulders of those who came before us—Ruth Bader Ginsburg fought for gender equality, Rosalind Franklin’s discoveries were crucial to understanding DNA, Angela Davis has been a fearless advocate for racial and gender justice, Dolores Huerta organized for labor rights—these are just a few of the leaders we proudly display on our firm’s walls.
Their courage reminds us that justice is never given; it is won through persistence and determination. We are proud to be an all-female team committed to defending workers’ rights and advocating for a more just world.
This Women’s History Month let’s celebrate the progress we’ve made and keep working toward a future where all women have equal opportunities — no going backward.
