This marks how far into 2025 mothers must work just to catch up to what dads earned in 2024.
Mothers working full-time, year-round make just 74¢ to every dollar earned by dads. Include part-time and part-year workers, and it drops to a devastating 62¢.
This isn’t just a wage gap — it’s a justice gap.
Mothers do it all: caregiving, working, holding families and our economy together. But outdated workplace structures, pay discrimination, and a lack of childcare support continue to punish moms for being caregivers.
